Weekly Photo Challenge: Monument (part 2)

Martin’s Church was opened in 1933. On June 25, 1941, the pressure of Russian bombs shattered the church windows and the altar burst into flames by the sparkles. The cantor and the chaplain who monitored the church were able to extinguish the fire. The vicar was wounded from bomb fragments. The church was saved.
